About Uzma
I did my Yoga Teacher Training in 2011, though I have benefited from Yoga for over 35 years in all aspects of my life. I am absolutely passionate about teaching Yoga so that you can experience all the benefits that Yoga can have on your mental and physical health, and overall well-being.
I follow the linage of Professor T Krishnamacharya and Sri TKV Desikachar, one of the most respected authentic yoga traditions.
I am also a qualified Yoga Therapist and have completed a 3 year Diploma course with TSYP (The Society of Yoga Practitioners). The course fulfills the British Council for Yoga Therapy (BCYT) standards, and qualified me to work as a Yoga Therapist, and to be registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) as a Yoga Therapist.
I practice yoga therapy from my consultation room in Weybridge.
Participating in sports like squash and running most of my adult life, I know that Yoga has kept me injury free, agile and feeling young.
Mother of two beautiful grown up daughters I keep myself busy with the things I love doing the most. These include yoga, nordic walking, simple healthy cooking, chanting, learning sangha's .
